Dear Swimmers, Divers and Parents,

Hello!  I hope everyone has had a relaxing and fun summer and you are all ready for winter swimming!  Please go to the Home page on this website, hhaaswimming.org, to obtain the brochure and registration forms. Current HHAA members may register by mail before the walk in registration, which will be held August 31, September 1 and September 2, 2010.  Please return the forms before September 1st to guarantee your placement on the team.

All new swimmers age 10 and under will be required to attend a session before the start of swim team to evaluate their practice placement on the team. These dates will be posted on the website, so please check the site for this information.  The coaches will evaluate your swimmer(s) and will determine which practice is the most beneficial for him/her.  Also, the coaches will determine whether your swimmer(s) will be on the pre-team or the competitive team. Please select just one date.  The team will start practice on Monday, September 20, 2010.  A calendar will be posted each month, on the website, to indicate which days practice will be held.

Generally, for the month of September the practices will be as follows:

Monday: 10 and under 5:00 -6:00, Over 10 5:45 - 7:00
Tuesday and Thursday : 10 and under 5:00 - 6:00, Over 10 6:00 - 7:30
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: Pre-team 5:00 - 5:45. (Select two days)

Divers practice times will be:

Monday 8:00 – 9:00,
Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-9:00
There will be some Saturday practices before the meets start  - they will be announced.

Please print out the necessary forms to read (all are available on the Home page of this website) and be please be sure to include the registration form AND the parental waiver and mail it to Karen Palombo. Registration is not accepted without payment and the parental waiver. During the season, communication is provided on our website Hhaaswimming.org.  Pleas check it often as it will contain important information. We have a family folders in the communication box, located in the balcony and may contain some forms or notices. Please check this box often or have your swimmer check. Please utilize the website on a consistent basis as important information is given. This is also the means in which we handle emergency closings due to weather or chemical and mechanical problems with the pool. Sometimes, we do not receive adequate notification of closings and we are unable to contact anyone. This is why it is important to never just drop your swimmer off and leave. We apologize in advance if anyone is inconvenienced by emergency closings.

Parent participation is required and is a very vital part of our club. If anyone is interested in participating on the Board of Directors, please let me know.  We also need members to run the timing system and to learn the computer system . We also are in need of stroke and turn judges at the meets. If you are interested in any of these positions please contact  me and we can arrange training or participation in a clinic.  We, at HHAA, are looking  forward to a terrific  2010-2011 season!  If there are any questions please call Lizanne Fisher at 215-654-7161.
