These are the dates the Championships are being held.

  • Feb. 10- League Champs at LaSalle
    (boys in the morning meet start 9:00 a.m., girls in the afternoon meet start 2:00 p.m.)
    Boy's Warm Up - TBA. Girl's Warm Up - TBA
  • Feb.2 -Boys Division Champs at Springfield (warm up tba, meet start 1:00 a.m.)
  • Feb.2-Girls Division Champs at Abington (warm up 11:00, 12:00 meet start)
  • Diving League Champs - Sat. Feb.9th at Central Bucks South ( info will be provided by Coach )
  • Diving Division Champs- Sun. Feb. 3rd at Upper Merion (info will be provided by Coach)

As soon as the meet times missing above become available we will add them to the main page of this site and also fill in the blanks listed above.  So please check the website for updates.

Forms are due no later than Wednesday, January 23, 2008 for girls or Friday, January 25th for boys. Please fill out a separate entry paper for each swimmer. Please call Karen Palombo 215-712-9010 if there are any questions or concerns about Champs.  If you are unsure about where your child would have the most success, please talk to the coaches. League Champs

League Champs is for the top eighteen swimmers in the League, in each event plus two alternates.  This is determined at a seeding meeting for this purpose, which utilizes a list of the top 50 swimmers in each event from the whole league.  These swimmers compete at LaSalle University against other swimmers from the Sal League.   Also, the top two relays from each age group may go to Leagues from each team.  The coaches make this decision.   They will determine the relays and they will select the swimmers that will go to League Championships.  The coaches may elect not to send a relay to League Championships if they feel that the team has a better chance at winning an award at Division Championships.  Swimmers must have competed in a combination of two dual meets during the 2006/2007 seasons to be eligible for League Champs.

Division Champs

Division Champs is open to anyone on our team.  This Championship competes against the other four teams in our Division.  The only requirements for Division Championships is that you sign up for them.  The coaches will determine the relays by putting together teams from the swimmers attending the meet. You may select whatever events your child wishes to swim in the individual strokes. Diving counts as one event.  You may not however, compete in events in Division Championships that qualified for Leagues or swim a relay in a stroke that qualified for League Champs with the exception being the IM.

Champs Events

Every child may swim three individual strokes and two relays in any combination at League and Division Champs. For example, if a swimmer qualifies for one individual event at League Championships, they may compete in Division Championships in the other two individual events.  The swimmers in the relays will be assigned by the coaches for both Championships.  If your child is interested in being in the relays please indicate this on the form.  This is not a guarantee that they will be in them, but the coaches try to do their best to accommodate the swimmers.   Please discuss the choices with the coaches if you wish to determine where your child will have the best chance of winning an award.
